Where Healthy Sleep Habits Start & A New Chapter Begins
Giving you the support you need, and meeting your child where they are
I'm so glad you've made it here!
You know your child needs sleep, and you know you do, too. But the gap between 'knowing' and 'doing' feels huge. I’m here to bridge that gap with a clear plan and the steady support you need to finally make it happen.
My son, 13 months old 💤
I'll carefully write a sleep plan that meets your child where they are and offer suggestions that are tailored just for them, their individual needs, temperament, current sleep association(s) while keeping your parenting style and sleep goals in mind.
I'll provide you with step-by-step guidance and give you my best recommendation on which sleep training method to use, but I will also include 3-4 methods for you to consider.
You will choose the sleep training method that feels most comfortable for you, whether a parent-present approach or one that provides your child with some space. If you feel that your child is sensitive to change or is experiencing separation anxiety, you can choose a gradual sleep training method.
Either way, you are moving toward independent sleep as you lessen the assistance/your presence over time.
I know that change can be hard—for both you and your child, but it’s a normal part of learning a new way of falling asleep and teaching independent sleep skills.
With my 1:1 support, I'll help you guide your child through this change while keeping them safe, secure, and loved. You’ll feel supported, confident, and reassured knowing you’re not navigating sleep challenges alone and feel more confident making sleep decisions that align with your parenting style and your child’s sleep needs.
After sleep training, you will feel the difference with longer stretches of sleep and a well-rested child. Your child's sleep will be more consolidated, predictable, and consistent, and you'll feel more in control of what happens during the day and night.
You'll feel SO PROUD of your child when they fall asleep on their own! :)
When you stop old habits and introduce new ones, your child will protest with frustration and tears. It is expected that they will show they are unhappy that their way of sleeping is changing. They have been familiar with it for so long, so this is understandable.
As we work on new sleep habits and sleep training for your child, they will begin to sleep longer stretches at night. The first 1-3 nights will be the hardest.
You'll quickly see that your child can adapt to the change you set for them and has the ability to learn new skills. This happens when you give them chances to try and practice independent sleep skills.
Clients often see progress in their child's sleep habits within 2 to 5 nights.
For children with stronger dependencies, it may take up to two weeks or longer to notice significant changes. Meaningful changes to your child's sleep habits take time and consistent effort. When strong sleep associations are present, I help parents manage expectations for this timeframe and support them in maintaining boundaries in their child's new sleep routines.
With two weeks of support, their child is more likely to keep learning, improve, establish independent sleep habits, and adjust to new sleep rules during and after our time together.
If you would like an additional week of sleep support, I would be happy to support you!
As I support you through sleep training, your child will still feel loved and secure. You should understand they may be frustrated because they are:
(1) tired and want to sleep
(2) don't know how to fall asleep independently
(3) want you to do it for them.
Temporary protest, frustration, and crying while learning new skills do not harm the child. They are expressing their feelings about the change, which is healthy, and you can hold space for those feelings.
When you make sleep habits a parenting decision, rather than allowing your child to direct the ship, you'll find that sleep will improve in your home. You won’t be at the mercy of your child’s sleep challenges. In fact, the sleep challenges will disappear when you successfully implement sleep training, boost their confidence around sleeping independently, and set respectful, loving limits and sleep expectations for your child.
If you nurse, rock, use a pacifier, or bottle-feed your child to help them fall asleep and return to sleep each time, they learn to expect this as their way to fall asleep.
They come to believe that those external sleep props/your presence are necessary for falling asleep and staying asleep at night.
Those quick fixes help your child fall asleep, making it easier for them to rely on them and for you, until they stop working.
Still, these can develop into strong associations and preferences, making them harder for your child to break as they get older. Some, like nursing or feeding to sleep, can be the hardest to break.
Sleep issues arise when a child has not had the chance to fall asleep independently, and the parent feels they must step in and do it for them every time.
When you decide to make changes, expect your child will need time to learn new routines and a new way of falling asleep. They are doing something new and need a chance to adjust to the sleep expectations and rules you set.
Depending on your child and your level of consistency and commitment, you'll see improvement night after night.
The goal of independent sleep is to finish the nap or bedtime routine, put your child in the crib while they are still awake, and fall asleep on their own. Most children settle into sleep quickly and are content, but for some babies and toddlers, a little fussing before sleep is normal. This is just their way of letting out some energy/frustration because they are tired, and it usually does not last long, and they are asleep.
Once sleep training is working and your child is sleeping longer and more regularly, you will start to feel better rested and less overwhelmed. The challenges you are facing now will fade as your child's sleep becomes more predictable and sleeps more connected at night.

If you have any questions, please contact me directly, and I will be happy to answer all of your questions. Looking forward to working with you!
During our call, we’ll chat about your child’s current sleep situation, what you’d like to change/improve, and your desired sleep outcomes. I’ll walk you through how I can best support your family. You'll determine whether my services are the right fit for your family. If you are interested in moving forward, I’ll send you a quote.
If you decide to move forward, you can accept the quote that was emailed to you. The quote includes signing the Client Service Agreement, selecting a package, and paying the invoice.
After payment, you’ll be asked to complete a questionnaire. You’ll also be asked to send a short video (30–60 seconds) of the room where your child sleeps, along with 2–3 clear photos of the crib or sleep space, to my phone number.
Once I receive the questionnaire and environmental video & pictures, I can begin developing your personalized sleep plan, which will be sent to your email within 24–48 hours.
In the email, you'll find the sleep plan and a link to schedule your 30-minute Kick-Off Call so we can review the sleep plan together.
I’ll explain my recommendations, answer any questions, clarify any concerns you may have, and we'll discuss the sleep training methods in detail. You'll choose the sleep training option that feels most comfortable for you.
I want to make sure you feel comfortable, confident, and ready to implement the sleep plan by the end of our call.
This conversation will lay the foundation for your progress and help you start on the right foot, keeping your child's sleep goals in mind.

Why hire a Pediatric Certified Sleep Consultant?
Sleep training can feel easier and be more effective when done with the guidance and support of a sleep consultant, who provides proper instructions, rather than trying to do it alone and risking incorrect implementation or incomplete completion. I am here to be that person for you -->> Get Started.
Does my insurance cover virtual sleep consulting services?
I am an independent sleep consultant and not a licensed medical professional, so you will not be eligible for insurance reimbursement. Insurance typically does not cover private support; however, many families reimburse these services through an HSA/FSA when accompanied by a Letter of Medical Necessity from a pediatrician. Please check with your HSA/FSA eligibility.
