Newborn Sleep Consultant in PA
For newborns (0-16 weeks) sleeping in bassinets/cribs
The perfect start for expectant parents and encouraging healthy habits in the first month of life.
"When parents take the lead in shaping their child’s sleep habits, they provide them with the best possible chance at developing a healthy relationship with sleep."
-Linda
Description: This support will help you gently shape your baby’s sleep. The goal is to gradually move feedings from overnight to daytime hours to establish longer stretches of sleep. The focus is on creating predictable daily rhythms that include solid feedings, age-appropriate play, and sleep routines that support healthy sleep habits and move toward independent sleep in the bassinet/crib. Most babies can sleep through the night by 12-16 weeks of age. Some earlier and some later. Since every child grows and develops at their own pace, we never force a rigid timeline. We’ll carefully follow your baby’s developmental cues and temperament, remaining flexible as they learn. This ensures that the transition to independent sleep feels safe and supportive for both of you, and that we adjust the pace whenever your baby needs us to troubleshoot or pivot.

Sleep conditioning is a process carried out during the first few weeks of life, between birth and 4 months, that helps prepare the newborn for healthy sleep habits and sets them up for independent sleep success later on. It lays the foundation for early sleep routines through gentle practices and good sleep hygiene, helping to prevent the commonly known 4-month sleep regression and the need for formal sleep training later.
